Ontology is a high performance open source blockchain specializing in digital identity and data. Ontology's infrastructure supports strong cross-chain collaboration and Layer 2 scalability, giving companies the flexibility to design a blockchain that suits their needs. With a suite of decentralized identity and data exchange protocols to improve speed, security, and reliability, Ontology's capabilities include ONT ID, a mobile digital ID application, and DIDs used throughout the ecosystem, and DDXF, a decentralized data sharing and collaboration framework. Ontology adopts a dual token model, with ONTs and ONGs as utility tokens. The ontology decouples NTOs and NGOs to alleviate the risk of turbulent fluctuations in the value of the native "asset" in the gas tariff. The ONT is used as a stakeout tool and time, stakeout cost, and node operating cost are considered inputs. ONG is used as a value anchor tool for on-chain applications and is used in on-chain transactions.
